Sewer Crawler

A sewer crawler is a remote-controlled robot. It travels inside pipes and sewer lines too small or hazardous for a person to enter directly. Tracked wheels or treads drive the unit forward and backward. Most crawlers navigate pipe diameters from 15cm up to 120cm, depending on the model’s size. A camera mounts at the front, often on a pan-tilt-rotate head. It sends live video back to an operator through a tether cable. This lets the crew inspect pipe condition without digging or entering the line physically.
