LiDAR-based Laser Detection Sensor

The LiDAR-based Laser Detection Sensor features a dome-shaped housing with a deep-blue polycarbonate optical dome mounted on a ribbed cylindrical aluminum-alloy base. The blue-tinted dome shields internal optics from dust and impact while maintaining full optical transmittance. It runs on a 1550nm fiber laser, a wavelength that allows higher transmission power than the older 905nm standard while staying eye-safe. The ribbed base handles heat dissipation during field installation. Internally, the laser rangefinder sensor uses an InGaAs detector array, the standard receiver material for 1550nm systems.

The sensor generates real-time 3D point cloud data with millimeter-level spatial resolution. Its horizontal field of view spans 120° and vertical coverage reaches 45°. Detection range extends up to 750 meters, dropping to around 600 meters against low-reflectivity targets like small consumer drones. The UAV detection LiDAR outputs up to 1.6 million points per second, feeding target coordinates into linked interception systems with millisecond-level response latency.

The LiDAR-Based Laser Detection Sensor deploys at airports, military perimeters, nuclear facilities, and border checkpoints. Teams mount it on fixed poles or vehicle rooftops for continuous low-altitude airspace scanning. Once the drone detection module flags an intruder, it feeds real-time coordinates to countermeasure units immediately. It operates day and night in rain, fog, and dust.

Tactical Supply Pakistan is Pakistan’s most trusted source for verified counter-drone hardware, offering full technical support alongside every unit. This low-altitude surveillance sensor ships through their platform, giving operators reliable access to equipment and expert guidance.

Can this sensor detect small drones in bad weather?
Yes. The 1550nm fiber laser in this fiber laser scanning unit outperforms 905nm systems in fog and humidity. It detects DJI Phantom-class drones at up to 600 meters in adverse conditions, making it ready for 24/7 airspace monitoring.
