Push Rod Cameras
Push rod cameras are inspection instruments with rigid or semi-rigid rod shafts that allow operators to physically push a camera head through confined spaces, tight conduits, and complex routing paths where flexible cable systems cannot reach due to cable stiffness limitations or sharp bends in the inspection path. These systems combine the advantage of cable systems’ ease of deployment with the mechanical simplicity and reduced cost of push-rod architecture suitable for inspection of plumbing, HVAC ducts, wall cavities, and equipment interior spaces.
Camera heads mounted at the push rod tip incorporate high-resolution CMOS sensors producing HD or Full HD video, integrated LED illumination providing consistent lighting in dark interior spaces, and forward-facing optics capturing the area directly ahead of the rod tip. Push rod diameters typically range from 4mm to 12mm, matching the diameter of conduits and cavities being inspected. Rod length varies from 5 meters on compact units suitable for short plumbing runs to 30 meters or longer on professional models supporting extended inspection of complex utility routing.
Operator control occurs through a handle or wheel mechanism at the rod base, allowing the operator to advance and retract the camera through the inspection path while observing real-time video on a monitor or tablet connected to the rod tip camera via wired connection. Recording functionality captures video evidence of interior conditions for documentation and reporting. Image capture freezes individual frames as reference photographs for defect location and extent documentation.
In Pakistan, push rod cameras support plumbing contractors inspecting drain blockages and deterioration, HVAC technicians examining ductwork and equipment interiors, building inspectors assessing wall cavity conditions, and facility maintenance teams diagnosing interior equipment faults without disassembly.
Tactical Supply Pakistan supplies push rod cameras for plumbing, HVAC, building inspection, and facility maintenance applications across Pakistan.
