FlexiTrace and Flexrod Pipe Tracer

Flexible traceable pushrods for accurately locating and mapping small-diameter non-metallic pipes, ducts, and blockages in challenging underground and confined environments.

Key Features:
✔️ Trace non-metallic pipes and ducts down to ~3 m depth with high accuracy
✔️ Energised pushrods compatible with Radiodetection Tx or Genny transmitters
✔️ Available in multiple lengths (50 m and 80 m) to suit varying pipe runs
✔️ Flexrods insert sondes into tight or bend-rich pipelines for route mapping
✔️ Reduces excavation guesswork and prevents costly mis-digs
✔️ Lightweight, durable, and abrasion-resistant for daily field use
✔️ Enables rapid identification of blocked or collapsed sections
✔️ Compatible with existing Radiodetection locating systems and accessories

FlexiTrace and Flexrod Pipe Tracer

The FlexiTrace and Flexrod Pipe Tracer systems enable location and mapping of small-diameter non-metallic conduits using electromagnetic detection methods with Radiodetection locators and Cable Avoidance Tools. These specialized tracing solutions address challenges where standard pipe location techniques fail on plastic pipes, flexible conduits, and ductwork installations. Both variants employ insertion technology advancing through pipelines from accessible entry points while transmitting detectable signals for above-ground tracking.

The FlexiTrace variant contains 164-foot or 260-foot reels of energizable small-diameter rod compatible with Radiodetection transmitters and Genny signal generators. This rod inserts into pipes as small as 12mm diameter with the entire inserted length detectable from surface positions. Unlike sonde-based systems, FlexiTrace provides continuous line tracing rather than point location. The Flexrod variant features fiberglass rod configurations in 197-foot and 394-foot lengths (60m and 120m) designed to propel Radiodetection sondes through larger diameter pipes and ducting. Multiple part numbers accommodate different rod diameters including 4.5mm and 7mm variants matching specific application requirements.

Telecommunication installers deploy FlexiTrace and Flexrod Pipe Tracer equipment mapping underground conduit routes before fiber-optic cable pulls through congested duct banks. Military communication battalions utilize rod-and-sonde systems tracing tactical cable pathways through temporary conduit installations at forward operating positions. Naval base utilities teams employ small-diameter traceable rods locating drain lines and condensate piping beneath pier structures. Airforce installation contractors trace PVC irrigation lines and communication ducts crossing aircraft parking aprons before pavement rehabilitation projects commence.

Tactical Supply Pakistan stocks both FlexiTrace energizable rods and Flexrod fiberglass variants with compatible sondes and transmitter accessories for non-metallic pipe tracing applications.

When should FlexiTrace be selected over Flexrod systems?
FlexiTrace suits applications requiring continuous pipe route visualization where entire line positions must be mapped, while Flexrod with sondes works best for simple point-to-point confirmation or when pushing through larger diameter pipes exceeding FlexiTrace’s 12mm minimum capacity.
