Labradar Chronograph
The LabRadar chronograph is a Doppler radar-based velocity measurement instrument that tracks projectile speed across multiple downrange distances from a single unit positioned beside the shooter at the firing point. Unlike optical chronographs requiring screens placed downrange in the projectile’s path, the LabRadar positions entirely at the shooter’s location and directs its radar beam parallel to the bore axis, tracking the projectile from muzzle exit to the maximum selected measurement distance without any equipment in the danger zone.
The unit measures velocities from 100 to 3,999 feet per second, covering airgun pellets, subsonic pistol rounds, standard rifle cartridges, and high-velocity magnum loads within the same instrument without requiring configuration changes between calibers. Users select up to six downrange measurement distances in meters or yards, and the unit records velocity at each point for every shot fired. From this data, the instrument calculates muzzle velocity, velocity at each downrange point, extreme spread, standard deviation, and average velocity across each recorded string automatically.
