Handheld X Ray Imager

A Handheld X-Ray Imager is a compact, portable radiographic imaging device that generates and detects X-ray transmission images of objects, parcels, wall sections, or concealed spaces without requiring fixed installation infrastructure or a stationary inspection tunnel. Designed for field use by security personnel, EOD technicians, and structural voids in situations where the object cannot be moved to a conventional X-ray system.

Detector panel options include amorphous silicon flat panel detectors with cesium iodide scintillator layers — providing spatial resolutions of 3.5 to 6 line pairs per millimeter — and flexible storage phosphor imaging plates that are scanned after exposure using a portable reader unit. Wireless digital flat panel detectors transmit captured images to a connected tablet or laptop via Wi-Fi or USB within seconds of exposure completion, displaying the image on screen for immediate operator assessment.
