Gas Distribution Systems and Gas Panels are engineered piping, valve, regulator, and manifold assemblies that control the delivery of compressed, liquefied, or specialty gases from cylinder storage or bulk supply sources to point-of-use equipment in laboratory, industrial, medical, and semiconductor manufacturing environments. The system manages gas pressure, flow rate, purity, and supply continuity between the gas source and consuming instruments or processes, with the gas panel serving as the centralized control interface where pressure regulation, flow isolation, purging, and monitoring functions are consolidated.

A gas distribution system begins at the gas source — high-pressure cylinders, dewars, or bulk tanks — and routes gas through primary pressure regulators reducing cylinder pressure from up to 300 bar to a working line pressure between 2 and 10 bar. Distribution tubing in stainless steel 316L with electropolished inner surfaces — wall thicknesses of 1.6mm to 3mm in outer diameters from 6mm to 25mm — maintains gas purity by minimizing particulate generation, moisture adsorption, and outgassing from tube walls. Compression or orbital-welded fittings at all joints eliminate leak paths that would contaminate high-purity gas streams or create safety hazards with flammable or toxic gas distribution.

Gas panels mount pressure regulators, isolation valves, purge valves, check valves, pressure gauges, and safety relief valves on a common manifold assembly within a ventilated enclosure. Automatic switchover panels connect primary and reserve cylinder banks, detecting primary supply pressure drop and opening the reserve supply without interrupting gas flow to connected instruments. Point-of-use regulators at individual equipment connections provide final pressure adjustment independent of upstream distribution pressure variations.
