Rigid Inflatable Motor Boats
The Rigid Inflatable Motor Boats measure 14.50 meters in maximum length and accommodate up to 12 persons across two distinct variants. Both Shadow Patrol 47 and Shadow Military 47 feature Deep-V hulls constructed from glass-reinforced polyester with Kevlar reinforcement built through vacuum infusion process. The patrol variant carries 1400-liter fuel capacity with inboard configuration or 1200 liters with outboard motors, while fresh water tanks hold 250 liters. Two watertight compartments include separate bilge systems for enhanced safety.
Inboard configurations achieve speeds above 37.5 knots with 230 nautical mile range, while outboard models reach 60 knots with range between 122-152 nautical miles depending on engine selection. Anti-slip deck surfaces provide stability during boarding operations. Design categories span Category A for ocean navigation in winds exceeding 8 Beaufort and waves over 4 meters, and Category B for offshore conditions up to 8 Beaufort. The military variant adds ballistic protection rated to STANAG 4569 Level 2 against 7.62×39 APIBZ ammunition at 300 meters.
Coast guard units deploy the Rigid Inflatable Motor Boats for patrol duties, search-and-rescue operations, and inspection oversight across open waters and rivers. The Shadow Military 47 supports naval forces during combat interceptions, anti-piracy missions, and critical infrastructure protection. Optional armament includes Kongsberg remote weapon stations with 12.7mm capability and Dillon Aero 7.62mm miniguns positioned at bow and aft locations.
