Single Channel Magnetometer

The single-channel magnetometer operates TDS digitizer, which processes FGM3D fluxgate sensor data with 24-bit resolution. This unit digitizes all three sensor axes simultaneously at sampling rates up to 6,300 values per second. The RS232 interface supports both binary and ASCII output formats. The system requires no external software for configuration, as all parameters adjust through an integrated command interface.

The galvanic isolation on the RS232 connection prevents electrical interference between components. The FGM3D sensor family offers measurement ranges from ±75 µT to ±1,000 µT with bandwidth extending to 6,000 Hz. The device features PEEK and POM waterproof enclosures rated to IP65 standards. Three orthogonal fluxgate sensors measure magnetic field components along X, Y, and Z axes. The anti-aliasing filter uses a second-order Bessel design with 3.3 kHz cutoff frequency.

Naval forces deploy the single-channel magnetometer for submarine detection through magnetic anomaly identification in shallow and deep-sea operations. Air force platforms mount these sensors on reconnaissance aircraft to locate buried unexploded ordnance and map geological features. Military degaussing systems incorporate the technology to monitor vessel magnetic signatures and reduce mine susceptibility. Geophysical survey teams use the equipment for mineral exploration and infrastructure mapping.

Tactical Supply Pakistan delivers high-performance measurement equipment that meets rigorous field requirements across demanding operational environments.

How does the galvanically isolated RS232 interface protect sensitive electronics?
The isolation barrier blocks ground loops and voltage transients that occur when systems share different power sources or operate across long distances. This prevents damage from electrostatic discharge events and maintains signal integrity in electromagnetically noisy environments where motors, generators, or switching equipment operate nearby.
