Long-Range Doppler Radar Antenna

The Long-Range Doppler Radar Antenna is available in two variants: BR-1001 and BR-1022 models operating at 10.525 GHz nominal frequency with ±5ppm stability. The BR-1001 features 23dBi antenna gain with a 9 x 11 degree beamwidth housed in a flat panel microstrip antenna measuring 51cm x 27cm x 13cm and weighing 14kg. The BR-1022 delivers 29dBi antenna gain with a narrower 4 x 4 degree beamwidth measuring 83cm x 45cm x 10cm and weighing 21kg without yoke. Both models utilize bistatic configuration with transmitting and receiving antennas supporting selectable output power between 0.2W and 2W.

Receiver noise figure remains below 1.8dB for maximum sensitivity across radial velocity coverage spanning 30-3000 m/s. The BR-1001 achieves typical range performance of 350m for 5.56mm projectiles and 1700m for 155mm rounds. The BR-1022 extends these ranges to 500m and 3300m respectively. Magnesium casting construction provides rigidity while white paint finish minimizes solar heat absorption. Operating temperature spans -20°C to 50°C with sealed housings preventing dust and water ingress.

Artillery proving grounds deploy the Long-Range Doppler Radar Antenna for muzzle velocity measurements on projectiles from 5.56mm rifle rounds to 155mm artillery shells including base-bleed, tracers, APFSDS, and sub-calibers. Military research facilities utilize the bistatic radar configuration for trajectory analysis across medium-range flight paths. Ammunition manufacturers conduct performance validation tests tracking rocket and specialized munition velocities under varied environmental conditions.

Tactical Supply Pakistan supplies ballistic measurement instrumentation for artillery testing and ammunition development programs. The company provides Doppler radar systems meeting FCC and CE certification requirements for long-range velocity tracking applications across defense sector operations.

How does the selectable power output affect measurement range capabilities?
The 0.2W setting accommodates short-range measurements while the 2W configuration maximizes detection distance for medium and long-range projectile tracking based on caliber size and radar cross-section
