Handheld Radioisotope Identification Device (RIID)

The Handheld Radioisotope Identification Device (RIID) introduces six rugged A‑Series variants: A100, A100+, A200, A200+, A400, and A400+, designed for fast and accurate isotope detection in high-threat environments. Each model shows a full 50 keV to 3 MeV energy range, and all boot up in under 90 seconds. The devices deliver high energy resolution (≤ 1.1% FWHM at 662 keV for standard models, ≤ 0.8% for “+” variants), enhanced by interaction-specific processing (≤ 0.65% for “+” models).

Constructed with ruggedized, compact design and sealed to IP65 standards, these RIIDs each feature pixelated CZT detectors with volumes scaling up: >4.5 cm³ for A100/A100+, >9 cm³ for A200/A200+, and >19 cm³ for A400/A400+. Weighing around 2.5–2.6 lb, they offer a practical balance between portability and performance. All six models satisfy ANSI N42.34 certification and provide real-time 360° directional detection.

Handheld Radioisotope Identification Device (RIID) is ideal for first responders, military and border security, and environmental monitoring. Whether scanning for radiological threats, identifying contamination sources, or localizing hotspots, they feature near-HPGe performance without cryogenic cooling. The real-time isotope classification matches pace with larger NaI (Tl) detectors, yet remains handheld and field-ready.

Tactical Supply Pakistan offers these A‑Series RIIDs as mission-critical radiation identification tools. Their ergonomic, one-handed interface supports operations in tight or hazardous environments. With wireless connectivity, CBRN/ATAK plugin compatibility, and secure web interfaces, they seamlessly integrate into modern tactical workflows.

Which model should I choose between A200+ and A400?
Choose A200+ for balanced portability and performance on local missions. Opt for A400 when maximum detector volume and sensitivity matter, such as in border security or environmental surveys where high-energy resolution and larger CZT volume improve isotope separation and localization.
