A GPS receiver and heading sensor is a combined navigation instrument that provides simultaneous position data and directional orientation output for platforms requiring both location tracking and bearing information in a single integrated unit. The GPS receiver component acquires signals from GNSS satellite constellations including GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, and Galileo depending on the module specification, calculating position fixes with horizontal accuracy ranging from 2.5 meters on standard single-frequency receivers to sub-centimeter levels on RTK-enabled dual-frequency models.
