Containment Vessel

A containment vessel is a heavily-shielded protective enclosure engineered to contain explosive detonation, chemical spill, or biological hazard release limiting damage and personnel injury during controlled hazardous material handling or explosive ordnance disposal operations. The vessel design provides engineered protection through structural redundancy and blast-directing geometry minimising peripheral hazard propagation.

Premium containment vessels employ multi-wall steel construction with outer shell thickness 30–80mm providing ballistic protection against fragmentation at velocities exceeding 2,000 metres per second. Internal lining employs energy-absorbing foam or composite materials distributing blast pressure across larger surface areas reducing peak stress concentration on structural members.
