Multispectral Binoculars
The Merger Duo NXP50 Multispectral Binoculars integrate a 640×480 pixel thermal sensor with 17μm pitch and NETD below 25 mK alongside a CMOS 1920×1200 digital sensor within a single binocular housing. Thermal magnification ranges from 3x to 24x with a 50mm F1.0 lens providing 12.4-degree horizontal field of view, while the digital channel offers 2x to 16x magnification through a 50mm F1.4 lens with 17.5-degree field coverage. Both channels display on 1280×960 AMOLED screens with 12mm eye relief. The thermal sensor detects targets at distances up to 1800 meters with 50 Hz refresh rate.
The system operates in three modes: thermal-only, digital-only, or multispectral Picture-in-Picture overlay. An attachable 905nm infrared LED illuminator enhances digital channel detail without visible signatures. Smooth digital zoom extends to 8x magnification beyond optical magnification. Eight-color thermal palettes optimize contrast for different environmental conditions. Three calibration modes—manual, semi-automatic, and automatic—maintain thermal image accuracy. Sensitivity enhancement settings include Normal, High, and Ultra levels for both thermal and PiP modes. Internal 64GB memory records video and audio. IPX7 environmental rating ensures waterproof protection. APS3 lithium-ion battery pack delivers 7.5 hours operation at 22°C. Weight measures 1.2 kg without illuminator.
