Katadyn BeFree Gravity 6L
The Katadyn BeFree Gravity 6L is a water filtration system featuring an EZ-Clean Membrane™ with hollow fibers and 0.1-micron pores capable of removing bacteria, cysts, and sediment. It includes a flexible 6-liter silicone water bag, quick-release valve with automatic shutoff, adapter ring, hose with clamp, and a convenient transport bag. The filter weighs approximately 263 grams and measures 24.5 x 21.6 x 5.8 cm when packed. In use, the water bag expands to about 23 x 38 cm, and the hose length reaches 122 cm. Its construction involves durable, food-grade plastics and silicone to withstand rugged environments.
The filtration system operates by gravity, requiring no pumping. The innovative EZ-Clean Membrane™ allows users to clean the filter by shaking or swishing it in water to maintain flow capacity. It filters water at up to 2 liters per minute and can process up to 1,000 liters depending on water quality. Quick connectors let you easily transfer filtered water into bottles or hydration bladders with small openings, reducing contamination risk. The system’s water bag includes a window for monitoring water level.
