The K-9 Medical Simulator replicates a Belgian Malinois working dog in a welded steel skeleton and solid-metal joints, weighing approximately 60 lb (27 kg). Its body is covered in durable synthetic fur, featuring shaveable patches for IV or IO training. The unit includes multiple interchangeable limbs and a tracheostomy insert, realistic airway acceptance for 10 mm ET tubes, and an onboard 1 L blood reservoir with controlled bleeding wounds.
It supports a wide array of emergency care interventions. Trainees can practice hemorrhage control, chest seal application, bilateral and GVD needle decompression, CPR compressions, advanced airway management, IV and intraosseous access (four sites), and hyper-/hypothermia treatment. The kit includes a rugged 3-wheeled deployment bag (42″ × 20″ × 15″) and rechargeable NiMH battery, powered for field operations with wireless remote control via tablet. A one-year warranty is included.
