The BurnTec Burn Dressing Kit comes in a red, carry-case sized 12 × 15.5 × 3.5 in (31 × 39 × 9 cm), weighing 2.8 kg (6 lb 4 oz). Inside are eleven hydrogel dressings and two facial mask sheets. The hydrogel layer combines polyvinylpyrrolidone, polyethylene glycol, and agar cross‑linked by electron beam, adhered to a non-woven fabric. Each dressing is sterile, hypoallergenic, and bacteria‑impermeable, while allowing oxygen and water vapour transmission.
Each dressing maintains a stable hydrogel matrix that resists spills and stays intact on the injured surface. It cools the wound area for up to 24 hours, providing continuous soothing relief. The non-stick surface prevents damage to granulation tissue during changes. Sizes included range from 2″ × 2″ to 12″ × 16″, covering first-, second- and third-degree burns plus abrasions, sunburns, insect bites, bruises, swelling, or chemical burns.
