Handheld Nuclear Detector

Handheld Nuclear Detector integrates time-of-flight ion mobility spectrometry, array-based multi-sensor fusion, and cesium iodide scintillator technology for simultaneous chemical agent and radioactive material detection. This unit measures 214x98x81mm and weighs 1.5 kilograms maximum. It detects gases from several ppb to tens of ppm and nuclear radiation from 0.01 μSv/h to 10 mSv/h with ±10% accuracy across 35keV to 1.5MeV energy ranges.

The system identifies six chemical warfare agents including sarin, VX, mustard gas, hydrogen cyanide, and phosgene, plus four industrial toxic gases like hydrogen sulfide, sulfur dioxide, hydrogen fluoride, and ammonia. Response time spans 2-15 seconds with continuous automatic sampling via built-in pump. It operates between -20°C and 40°C with 95% relative humidity tolerance and IP65 protection rating upgradable to IP67. Startup requires 20 minutes maximum with 5-hour standby duration at room temperature. The device resists interference from gunpowder smoke, vegetation combustion products, and engine exhaust.

Military chemical-biological-radiological-nuclear defense teams deploy the Handheld Nuclear Detector during threat assessment operations at suspected contamination sites and forward reconnaissance missions. Naval damage control personnel utilize this detector aboard vessels to identify radioactive leaks and chemical hazards following collision incidents or weapons system malfunctions. Air force explosive ordnance disposal specialists employ the unit to screen unexploded munitions for radiological components and verify safe handling protocols. Border security forces conduct container inspections at entry points using this detector to prevent smuggling of nuclear materials and industrial toxins.

Tactical Supply Pakistan provides integrated detection solutions combining nuclear and chemical sensing capabilities for comprehensive threat identification in single handheld platforms.

Does atmospheric humidity or temperature affect detection accuracy during field operations?
No, the multi-sensor fusion algorithm compensates for environmental variables, maintaining reliable detection performance across 95% relative humidity and -20°C to 40°C temperature ranges without requiring manual calibration adjustments.
