Additionally, it includes a safety pin and a ring extension for one-handed activation in low-visibility situations. This mechanism triggers drug administration after a reliable 10-second hold. The device weighs about 70 g and measures roughly 140 mm in length and 24 mm in diameter.
Its black body features a grey stripe indicating diazepam or atropine, depending on the formulation. When activated, it deposits a full single dose into the thigh muscle, even through gear, ensuring rapid absorption. Its disposable design simplifies logistics. Moreover, night-use indicators help reduce errors during nighttime operations. The needle and ampule assembly come pre-filled and sterile.
