First Aid Autoinjector Device – Single-use intramuscular pain relief injection
First Aid Autoinjector Device
The First Aid Autoinjector Device is a semiautomatic, single-use injector designed for rapid intramuscular antidote delivery under battlefield conditions. It is housed in a durable polymer body marked to STANAG standards. The device contains a 2 ml chamber and a 20 mm needle capable of penetrating multiple layers of protective clothing. Additionally, it includes a safety pin and a ring extension for one-handed activation in low-visibility situations. This mechanism triggers drug administration after a reliable 10-second hold. The device weighs about 70 g and measures roughly 140 mm in length and 24 mm in diameter.
Its black body features a grey stripe indicating diazepam or atropine, depending on the formulation. When activated, it deposits a full single dose into the thigh muscle, even through gear, ensuring rapid absorption. Its disposable design simplifies logistics. Moreover, night-use indicators help reduce errors during nighttime operations. The needle and ampule assembly come pre-filled and sterile. The entire unit remains stable at temperatures between 5 °C and 25 °C.
This First Aid Autoinjector Device targets Pakistan’s Army, Navy, Air Force, and CBRN response units. It allows self- or buddy-administered antidote delivery against nerve-agent or organophosphate exposure. Consequently, front-line operators can quickly neutralize convulsions, anxiety, or toxicity. This rapid response buys critical time until full medical support arrives. Its intuitive design supports use by minimally trained personnel in high-stress scenarios. Therefore, it reduces operator errors and enhances chemical warfare readiness.
Tactical Supply Pakistan strengthens national CBRN defense by supplying these certified antidote autoinjectors. They equip frontline personnel with reliable, field-ready countermeasures in hazardous environments.
Can this device penetrate gear and operate effectively in low light?
Yes. Its 20 mm needle length and ring extension allow drug delivery through typical clothing or gear. Also, tactile night-use markers ensure reliable deployment after dark.
