Water Mist System
Water mist systems suppress fires by discharging fine water droplets at high pressure through specialized nozzles, producing a mist with droplet sizes typically below 1000 microns. The fine mist absorbs heat from the fire rapidly. It also displaces oxygen around the burning area. This combination suppresses flames faster than conventional sprinkler systems while using significantly less water per discharge event. Commercial buildings, server rooms, industrial facilities, marine vessels, and military installations across Pakistan use water mist systems where water damage from conventional sprinkler discharge would cause unacceptable secondary losses.
High-pressure water mist systems operate at pressures between 35 and 200 bar. Medium-pressure systems run between 12 and 35 bar. Low-pressure systems operate below 12 bar. Higher pressure produces finer droplets. Finer droplets achieve greater heat absorption per liter of water discharged. Nozzle designs use stainless steel construction with orifice diameters between 0.3 and 2mm. Each nozzle produces a defined spray pattern covering between 9 and 16 square meters of floor area. Additionally, single-fluid systems discharge water only through the nozzle. Twin-fluid systems mix water and compressed air or nitrogen at the nozzle to achieve finer droplet sizes at lower water supply pressure.
Detection and activation systems integrate with standard fire alarm control panels. Smoke detectors, heat detectors, or flame detectors trigger the system automatically upon confirmed fire detection. Manual release stations allow operator activation without waiting for automatic detection in high-risk areas. Furthermore, zoned system designs activate only the affected area rather than the full building installation, limiting water discharge and minimizing collateral water exposure to unaffected equipment and spaces during a localized fire event.
Pipe network materials use stainless steel or copper tube in 15mm to 50mm diameters depending on flow requirement and nozzle count per zone. Moreover, stored pressure cylinders or pump sets supply water at operating pressure depending on system design and available water supply infrastructure at the installation site.
Tactical Supply Pakistan supplies water mist systems to commercial building managers, data center operators, marine vessel outfitters, industrial facility fire safety teams, and military installation protection programs requiring water-efficient fire suppression capability across high-value asset protection environments throughout Pakistan.
