WATER JET DISRUPTER
The Water Jet Disrupter fires a concentrated jet of water at a suspected explosive device to interrupt its firing circuit from a safe standoff distance. A pressurized cartridge propels the water charge through a barrel, and the recoilless design vents gas backward to cancel forward recoil. Bomb disposal technicians aim the unit using a mounted sight or remote robot arm, so no operator stands near the device. Additionally, the barrel accepts different nozzle configurations, changing the water jet pattern for different target types.
Bomb disposal units in Pakistan use this disrupter to render suspicious packages and vehicle-borne devices safe during response operations. Similarly, military explosive ordnance disposal teams use the equipment during route clearance and post-conflict area sweeps. Police counter-terrorism squads also use disrupters to neutralize devices found during searches at public venues. Furthermore, private security firms at high-risk sites keep the equipment on hand for rapid response to suspicious items.
The recoilless firing mechanism allows mounting on lightweight robotic platforms without a heavy counterweight system. As a result, robots deploy the disrupter without destabilizing during firing. Reloadable cartridges let technicians prepare multiple shots for a single response without a return to a supply vehicle. Consequently, teams address several suspicious items during one callout.
Tactical Supply Pakistan supplies this disrupter to bomb disposal units, military EOD teams, and police counter-terrorism squads nationwide. In contrast to controlled detonation, water jet disruption interrupts a device without a large secondary explosion. Finally, the compact design mounts on both handheld frames and robotic platforms.
