Vehicle-mounted counter-UAS systems integrate drone detection sensors and electronic defeat effectors onto a tactical vehicle platform — giving mobile security teams, convoy units, and rapid reaction forces self-contained counter-drone capability that moves with the protected asset rather than covering only a fixed defensive position.

The detection layer uses passive RF scanning across drone control and video transmission bands from 433MHz to 5.8GHz. Scanners identify active drone communications within ranges of 1 to 3 kilometers. Compact solid-state radar modules add detection of autonomous GPS-guided drones flying pre-programmed missions without active RF links. Furthermore, electro-optical and thermal camera modules on pan-tilt mounts provide visual confirmation of detected drone tracks. Sensor fusion software correlates detections across all sensor types and presents confirmed tracks on a single operator display inside the vehicle cab.

Jamming antenna arrays mount on vehicle roof racks or dedicated frames. Directional configurations focus energy in a forward arc of 60 to 120 degrees during movement. This concentrates jamming power on threats approaching from the most likely engagement sector. Jamming coverage targets 433MHz, 900MHz, 2.4GHz, and 5.8GHz control bands simultaneously. GNSS jamming modules additionally target GPS L1, GLONASS L1, and BeiDou B1 navigation frequencies. As a result, both manually piloted and autonomous GPS-guided drones face simultaneous defeat from a single activation. Additionally, GNSS spoofing modules on advanced configurations redirect autonomous drones to a designated capture coordinate — providing a controlled defeat without generating debris over populated areas.

Transmit power ranges from 30W to 200W per frequency band. This extends effective jamming range to 1,000 to 3,000 meters against standard commercial drones. Vehicle electrical system power at 12V or 24V DC eliminates separate generator requirements. Moreover, single-button activation from a ruggedized in-cab console enables all jamming bands simultaneously without operator exposure outside the vehicle.
