Real-Time PCR (qPCR)
Real-time PCR amplifies specific DNA sequences while simultaneously monitoring product accumulation through fluorescent signal intensity increases during each amplification cycle. Conventional PCR detects products only after all cycles complete. Real-time PCR provides quantitative data during active amplification. This enables precise measurement of initial sample content.
