Shielding gas delivery through the welding head nozzle uses argon or nitrogen at flow rates between 15 and 25 liters per minute, protecting the molten weld pool from atmospheric oxidation during the fusion cycle. Moreover, integrated cooling systems in the source unit use closed-loop water circulation, maintaining laser diode and fiber coupler temperatures within operating limits during continuous duty welding sessions.
