Liquid Oxygen Systems
Liquid Oxygen Systems store and deliver oxygen in its cryogenic liquid state at temperatures below -183°C, providing a compact, high-density oxygen supply for medical, industrial, and defense applications where gaseous cylinder storage would require excessive space or weight. Hospitals, industrial gas plants, and military field units rely on liquid oxygen systems because one liter of liquid oxygen expands to approximately 860 liters of gaseous oxygen at standard atmospheric conditions. Therefore, liquid storage delivers significantly more usable oxygen per unit volume than compressed gas cylinders of equivalent size.
The storage vessel uses a vacuum-insulated double-wall design, with an inner stainless steel tank holding the cryogenic liquid surrounded by a vacuum space and an outer protective shell. This insulation method minimizes heat transfer from the ambient environment into the cryogenic contents. Furthermore, perlite insulation material fills the vacuum space on many tank designs, further reducing boil-off losses during storage and transport.
Bulk liquid oxygen tanks for hospital and industrial installations range from 1,000 liters to 50,000 liters capacity, supplying central piped oxygen distribution networks throughout a facility. Additionally, portable liquid oxygen systems for home healthcare and ambulance use store 0.5 to 10 liters in lightweight, ruggedized containers designed for patient mobility.
A vaporizer unit converts liquid oxygen back into gaseous form before delivery to the point of use. Pressure regulation systems control output pressure to the required specification, typically 50 to 60 psi for hospital piped medical gas systems. Moreover, pressure relief valves and venting systems manage the natural boil-off gas generated as ambient heat slowly warms the cryogenic liquid over time.
In Pakistan, liquid oxygen systems serve hospital central oxygen supply networks, industrial steel and metal cutting operations, military field medical units, and oxygen concentrator backup systems during power outages.
Tactical Supply Pakistan supplies Liquid Oxygen Systems across bulk storage and portable configurations for medical, industrial, and defense procurement across Pakistan.
