Description:
The LabRadar LX is an upgraded Doppler radar chronograph that builds on the original LabRadar platform with enhanced connectivity, expanded data management features, and improved user interface capability. It measures projectile velocity from muzzle exit to multiple user-selected downrange distances using Doppler radar tracking from a unit positioned beside the shooter at the firing point, with no equipment required downrange of the muzzle. The LX variant introduces a color touchscreen display replacing the button-and-monochrome-screen interface of the original unit, providing a more intuitive session management experience during range use.

Velocity measurement capability covers the same range as the original LabRadar, from 100 to 3,999 feet per second, across airgun, handgun, rifle, and magnum calibers without reconfiguration between different projectile types. Up to six user-defined downrange measurement distances record velocity for each shot, with the system automatically calculating string average velocity, extreme spread, and standard deviation. The LX adds expanded internal memory capacity and direct WiFi connectivity alongside the existing Bluetooth and USB transfer options, allowing data sync to the LabRadar LX companion application without a physical cable connection.

The acoustic trigger system detects muzzle report and initiates radar tracking automatically. Sensitivity adjustments accommodate different shooting environments including indoor ranges and outdoor positions with varying background noise levels that could affect trigger reliability on the original unit.

Battery operation uses a rechargeable lithium-ion pack with extended capacity compared to the original LabRadar, supporting longer range sessions between charges. Standard tripod thread compatibility allows mounting on a camera tripod for consistent bore-parallel alignment across extended shooting sessions.
