HENSOLDT C-UAS
The HENSOLDT C-UAS system is a modular, fully integrated counter-unmanned aerial system platform designed to detect, identify, track, and neutralize small UAS threats across military, law enforcement, and critical infrastructure protection scenarios. HENSOLDT builds the system around its Elysion C-UAS Mission Core — a C4I software platform that fuses data from multiple sensor types into a single intuitive operational picture, enabling a single operator to manage the full detection-to-defeat chain in real time.
The sensor layer combines active and passive radar systems, electro-optical and infrared cameras, and RF detection equipment. The SPEXER 2000 3D radar — supplied to the German Bundeswehr and field-proven in NATO operations — provides three-dimensional small target classification at demanding detection ranges, identifying drone signatures against complex background clutter. EO/IR cameras deliver visual and thermal confirmation of detected targets before countermeasure activation. Furthermore, RF detection sensors passively identify drone communication frequencies and controller link signatures without emitting detectable signals.
Countermeasure options span a full soft-to-hard kill spectrum. Soft kill effectors include GPS jammers, smart RF jammers targeting specific drone communication bands, and High-Power Electro-Magnetic (HPEM) systems that disable drone electronics across a wide area. Additionally, net launchers and kinetic weapon stations — including remote-controlled platforms such as the Kongsberg Protector — provide hard kill defeat capability for threats that survive electronic countermeasures. The system supports both fully automated engagement chains and man-in-the-loop operator-confirmed activation modes.
Deployment configurations include tripod-mounted portable setups, vehicle-integrated mobile systems, and fixed container-based installations. The German Federal Police recently commissioned vehicle-integrated HENSOLDT C-UAS systems for airport and critical infrastructure protection — a directly analogous requirement to Pakistan’s own airport perimeter security, VIP protection, and military installation defense needs across Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, and Pakistan’s western border regions.
Tactical Supply Pakistan supplies the HENSOLDT C-UAS system for counter-drone operations, critical infrastructure protection, and military airspace defense procurement across Pakistan.
