HandHeld Super Scanner Metal Detector
The Handheld Super Scanner metal detector is a compact, battery-operated security screening wand designed for rapid detection of ferrous and non-ferrous metal objects on personnel at access control checkpoints, security screening lanes, event entry points, and correctional facility search procedures. The Super Scanner operates on an electromagnetic induction principle, generating an alternating magnetic field from the sensor head coil that induces eddy currents in metallic objects within the detection zone. Disruption of the field caused by metal presence triggers the unit’s alarm response, which is delivered through an audible beep, vibration alert, or both simultaneously depending on the operator’s selected mode.
The detection head measures approximately 330mm in length with a wide oval sensor coil providing a detection zone extending 75mm to 90mm from the face of the wand. Sensitivity is factory-calibrated to reliably detect a standard US quarter coin at 75mm, a full-size handgun at 230mm, and a folding knife at 90mm from the sensor face. Operating frequency falls in the mid-frequency electromagnetic induction range with automatic tuning to compensate for environmental interference from reinforced concrete structures and nearby metallic fixtures commonly encountered in permanent checkpoint installations.
Power is supplied by a standard 9V alkaline battery with operational life of approximately 200 hours of continuous use. The housing is constructed from high-impact ABS plastic in a yellow and black colorway that is standard across the Super Scanner product line for global security screening recognition. The unit weighs approximately 170 grams, allowing extended one-hand screening sessions without operator fatigue.
Tactical Supply Pakistan supplies the Handheld Super Scanner for security checkpoints, event screening, correctional facilities, and access control installations throughout Pakistan.
