FPV Interceptor Drone

Purpose: A defensive UAV designed to intercept, disable, or capture rogue FPV drones — usually to protect events, critical sites, or sensitive airspace.

Detection → Engage: Operates as part of an integrated workflow: detected/tracked by radar/RF/EO systems, then dispatched to intercept the hostile drone.

Interception Methods: Common non‑destructive techniques include net capture (net projectors or net‑carrying interceptor), physical contact to disable rotors, or close‑proximity escort to force landing; destructive methods raise significant safety and legal issues.

Design Features: Fast, highly maneuverable platform with reliable GNSS/IMU guidance, visual or RF homing, rugged frame, and payload bay for nets or capture devices.

Autonomy & Control: Can be remote‑piloted or semi/fully autonomous with collision avoidance and fail‑safe behaviours to minimize risk to people and property.

Safety & Legal Constraints: Use must comply with aviation and spectrum regulators (e.g., PCAA/PTA in Pakistan), include risk assessments and rules of engagement, and preferably be operated by authorised security or law‑enforcement teams.
