Dueling Tree and Lollipop Targets are two complementary reactive steel shooting target formats used in pistol marksmanship training, competitive practical shooting, and range skill development programs. The dueling tree provides a head-to-head competitive platform, while lollipop targets function as individual reactive steel pieces suited to timed accuracy drills, transition practice, and multi-target engagement sequences — both offering the immediate audible and visual feedback of hardened steel reaction without requiring paper target replacement between strings of fire.

The dueling tree component consists of a vertical steel post with six swing-arm mounted AR500 steel paddles — three per side — each measuring 6 inches in diameter and cut from 3/16 inch to 3/8 inch plate depending on the caliber application. Paddles pivot across the center column axis on impact, transferring to the opponent’s side, with gravity returning paddles to their original position for reset only when the arm is manually swung back. The post fabricated from 2-inch structural steel tube accommodates both ground stake and base plate mounting configurations for field and permanent range installation.

Lollipop targets consist of a circular AR500 steel disc — typically 4 inches to 8 inches in diameter — welded or bolted to a vertical stem of 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch round bar, creating a silhouette resembling a lollipop profile when viewed from the shooting position. The stem mounts into a ground stake or T-post sleeve, positioning the disc face at heights adjustable between 0.5 and 1.2 meters. On impact, the disc swings backward on a hanging chain or pivot connection, providing reactive movement confirmation of a hit before returning to the upright position.

Both target formats are manufactured from AR500 steel with Brinell hardness of 500 HB, rated for repeated engagement at safe distances with pistol calibers from 9mm to .45 ACP. Powder coat finish in high-visibility colors extends surface life and improves target acquisition under varying light conditions.
