Dry air generator systems remove moisture and hydrocarbon contaminants from compressed air through a sequential treatment train: a coalescing pre-filter removes liquid water and oil aerosols, a desiccant or membrane dryer stage reduces water vapor content to dewpoints between -40°C and -70°C, and a catalytic oxidizer or activated carbon stage eliminates residual hydrocarbon traces to below 0.1 parts per million. Output air meets the purity specifications required as carrier gas, zero air, or combustion air for gas chromatographs, flame ionization detectors (FID), and total organic carbon (TOC) analyzers.
Nitrogen generator systems use pressure swing adsorption (PSA) technology to separate nitrogen from compressed air across carbon molecular sieve beds, producing nitrogen at purities between 95 and 99.999 percent depending on flow rate and selected purity grade. Output flow rates range from 1 LPM for single GC detector supply up to several hundred LPM for multi-instrument laboratories or industrial blanketing and purging applications. PSA nitrogen generators require only a compressed air supply input, with no consumable gases or specialist handling.
