Cooled IR thermal security cameras use cryogenically cooled detector arrays to achieve far higher thermal sensitivity than uncooled alternatives. As a result, they are the preferred choice for long-range surveillance in demanding field conditions. The cooling mechanism is typically a Stirling cycle cooler. Output interfaces include SDI, HDMI, Ethernet, and RS-422 for command and control integration. Enclosures carry IP66 or IP67 ratings for all-weather deployment. Furthermore, operating temperature spans minus 40 to plus 55 degrees Celsius, covering harsh highland and coastal environments equally.
