Contactless Fingerprint
Contactless fingerprint technology captures biometric ridge detail from a finger held near a sensor without any physical surface contact. The capture mechanism relies on optical imaging, multispectral illumination, or structured light projection to record fingerprint patterns at distances typically ranging from 5mm to 40mm. Because no pressing or rolling is involved, the system eliminates distortion caused by uneven pressure application, a common source of false rejection in traditional flat platen readers. This makes contactless fingerprint readers consistently reliable across users with dry, worn, oily, or lightly damaged skin surfaces.
Output images are generated at resolutions of 500 DPI or higher, maintaining compatibility with ISO 19794-2 and ANSI INCITS 378 fingerprint data standards. Verification and identification processing is completed within one to two seconds per finger, supporting both one-to-one authentication and one-to-many database matching workflows. Connectivity options across available models include USB, RS-232, and Ethernet, with SDK support for integration into existing access control, HR, and identity management platforms.
Pakistan’s national identity infrastructure, immigration control systems, financial sector KYC requirements, and high-security facility access programs are all active deployment environments for contactless fingerprint readers. The non-contact design also reduces maintenance intervals significantly compared to platen-based sensors, which accumulate residue requiring regular cleaning to maintain scan quality.
Tactical Supply Pakistan provides contactless fingerprint readers suited for government, banking, law enforcement, and corporate security installations where dependable biometric capture under real operational conditions is a baseline requirement.
