Slishman Traction Splint (STS-C)

The Slishman Traction Splint (STS-C) is a single-piece device equipped with telescoping 6061 T6 aluminum poles, connected by a 550 paracord traction cord. Measuring approximately 13″ × 3″ in its case, it weighs just 13 oz (0.81 lb / 365 g). The splint includes no loose parts or assembly steps, making it ready for use immediately. All locking and adjustment controls sit at the hip, preventing any extension past the foot. Additionally, its pressure points feature ample padding to reduce discomfort during application. The construction is radiolucent, with mostly aluminum and minimal steel thumb screw components.

Thanks to its compact design, the splint fits tightly into storage spaces. Its fully connected components eliminate the risk of losing parts in the field. Moreover, the material is temperature-stable, corrosion-resistant, and shock-proof—qualities that make it suitable for demanding environments. Since there is no distal protrusion, the splint integrates easily into vehicles, aircraft, and rescue baskets without obstruction.

Military medics, EMS professionals, and search-and-rescue teams frequently deploy the Slishman Traction Splint (STS-C) to stabilize femur fractures in both adults and children. Its hip-based traction mechanism offers effective stabilization while avoiding foot extension. This makes it compatible with stretchers, ambulances, and helicopters. Even when lower leg injuries are present, providers can anchor the distal end above the calf or patella to maintain secure traction. Importantly, trained users can apply the entire system in under 60 seconds.

Tactical Supply Pakistan offers this compact, field-proven splint to ensure frontline teams are equipped with dependable tools for emergency fracture care, especially in time-critical or mobile settings.
