The Polycarbonate Eye Shield (PES) is a rigid eye protector made from high-strength, shatterproof polycarbonate, measuring approximately 3 × 2.375 inches and weighing just 0.2 ounces. Its convex shape prevents flattening under pressure while accommodating either eye. Strategically placed perforations offer airflow, and the translucent orange shell bears engraved instructions: “Tape over eye this side out. Nothing under shield”.
The shield complies with Committee on Tactical Combat Casualty Care protocols for field treatment of penetrating eye trauma. It comes individually or as a box of 100, ideal for kits.
