The Katadyn BeFree Gravity Water Filtration System 3L features a hollow fiber filter with an EZ-Clean Membrane™ of 0.1-micron pore size that effectively removes bacteria, cysts, and sediment. It comes with a 3-liter Hydrapak® SoftFlask™ made of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), which is BPA- and PVC-free. The system weighs approximately 192 grams and measures 23 x 7.5 x 44.7 cm. The quick-connect fittings include a quick-release valve with auto shutoff to prevent contamination, along with carry straps for ease of use.
This gravity-based system requires no pumping; simply fill the durable, collapsible 3L water bag and hang it using the integrated bail handle or carry loop. The EZ-Clean Membrane™ is easy to maintain by shaking or swishing to remove trapped particles. It filters water at a rate of up to 2 liters per minute, processing up to 1,000 liters depending on water quality. The wide 43mm mouth opening simplifies filling from rivers, lakes, or taps.
