Ground-Penetrating Radar (Amulet GPR)

The Ground-Penetrating Radar comprises a 4-channel QuadPack GPR sensor, remote-controlled HD camera, control box, and Trimble Yuma wireless operator unit. The system integrates onto any tactical remote-controlled vehicle or robot platform. A single QuadPack module provides 50-centimeter detection swathe, scalable to 4 meters with additional modules. The GPR technology detects metallic, minimum-metal, and non-metallic buried threats including improvised explosive devices and anti-tank mines. Man-portable design enables single-operator deployment.

The system includes lane-marking capability with differential GPS data collection for route-proving through threat zones. Real-time video feedback, threat alerts, and visual indications transmit over secure communication links. Intuitive operator controls require minimal training. Virtual-reality training systems support operator preparation with instructor-configurable scenarios. An airborne AMULET UAS variant deploys GPR sensors on hexacopter platforms for covert reconnaissance.

The Ground-Penetrating Radar operates across demining operations, military route clearance, counter-IED missions, and humanitarian minefield reduction programs. Field units employ this system for rapid area clearance, generating real-time threat maps. The British Army tested the system during Exercise Autonomous Warrior. Standoff detection removes operators from harm’s way during dangerous clearance operations.

Tactical Supply Pakistan supplies this detection platform combining 30+ years of Cobham GPR development experience. The system maintains effectiveness across variable ground conditions and international terrain types. Secure communication protocols protect threat data during transmission. Real-time mapping creates audit trails documenting minefield clearance procedures.

Can this radar detect landmines buried at different soil depths simultaneously?
Yes, QuadPack sensors process subsurface reflections across multiple depth layers in real-time, displaying depth-profiled threat data on operator displays for threats at varying depths from surface to approximately 1.5 meters depending on soil composition.
