VNIR Imaging for Surveillance
VNIR Imaging for Surveillance utilizes cameras sensitive to the Visible and Near-Infrared spectral range (400-1000nm) to enhance monitoring capabilities. These cameras can see beyond human vision into the NIR band, allowing for improved performance in low-light conditions (with IR illumination) and the ability to detect materials or camouflage that have distinct spectral signatures in the NIR. When deployed on ground-based or aerial surveillance platforms, VNIR imaging can provide improved contrast for tracking subjects at night, identifying vegetation changes that might indicate hidden objects, and offering a richer data set for automated video analytics and perimeter security.
-
Extends surveillance capability into the near-infrared spectrum for low-light/covert imaging.
-
Can reveal differences between natural and man-made materials that are invisible in visible light.
-
Often used with IR illuminators for active night surveillance without visible light.
-
Enhances the performance of video analytics for intrusion detection and tracking.
-
Can be integrated into multi-spectral surveillance systems alongside thermal cameras.
-
Provides a cost-effective upgrade over standard visible-light CCTV for 24/7 monitoring.
Extend your surveillance spectrum. Implement VNIR Imaging systems for enhanced day/night monitoring and material discrimination.
