A. Long-range LOS MIMO Radio (recommended if LOS possible)

  • High-power MN-MIMO radios (tactical MIMO) on both air and ground, with high-gain antennas and motorised trackers. Can deliver multi-Mbps video at 100+ km when LOS & altitudes are favourable. Proven in field demos and deployments.

B. Range-Enhanced / Amplified MIMO (high power + filtering)

  • OEM combos that add high-power amplifiers, filtering and beamforming to push link distances beyond 100 km (Triad/Triad-RF style builds around StreamCaster cores). Use when you need extra margin in marginal LOS.

C. Multi-hop / Relay (air-to-air or ground relays)

  • Use intermediate relays (another UAV, aerostat, or mast) to extend beyond single-hop LOS. Multi-hop MESH radios (MANET) can extend practical range with minimal per-hop cost.

D. Satellite hybrid (satcom fallback or primary)

  • Use satcom (Ku/Ka or LEO/Starlink-type) for guaranteed BVLOS coverage; combine with radio for low-latency primary link and satcom for failover. GEO L-band is low bandwidth for HD video; use Ku/Ka or LEO for Mbps video.
