Cutting Lance

The Cutting Lance is a dry-application exothermic cutting rod built around a hollow tubular body housing patented alloy core wires, through which pressurized oxygen flows to initiate and sustain combustion after ignition. Ignition draws a maximum of 150 amps and requires only a single spark from a 12V or 14V automotive or marine battery pack. Once lit, the rod sustains its exothermic reaction entirely on oxygen flow alone — no continuous electrical input is needed. The rod body flexes up to 90 degrees or beyond without splitting the insulation coating or narrowing the internal oxygen channel, maintaining uninterrupted flow to the burn tip.

The lance cuts and melts both ferrous materials — including hardened steel, cast iron, and rebar — and non-ferrous materials such as aluminum, brass, and copper, outpacing conventional oxy-fuel gas torches and carbon arc gouging on cut speed. No surface preparation or preheating is required before starting a cut. The patented anti-burnback architecture prevents flame regression toward the torch body, protecting both the operator and the holder assembly during extended cutting runs.

In large-scale demolition and industrial operations, the Cutting Lance is used by structural demolition contractors for cutting reinforced concrete columns, steel I-beams, and heavy machinery frames during large building deconstruction projects. Defense engineering units deploy exothermic lance systems for rapid breaching of hardened barriers, vault doors, and armored installations where fuel-gas cutting equipment is logistically impractical.

Tactical Supply Pakistan is Pakistan’s trusted procurement source for industrial and tactical demolition cutting equipment, supplying field-validated gear to defense units, demolition contractors, and emergency response teams nationwide.

How does cut speed on the ARES Cutting Lance compare to conventional oxy-acetylene on 50mm mild steel?
Exothermic lances in this category cut 50mm mild steel roughly 3 to 5 times faster than oxy-acetylene torches, since combustion temperatures reach approximately 10,000°F — far exceeding the 5,600°F ceiling of oxy-acetylene — without any preheating delay before the cut begins.
