Somatics Thymatron System IV ECT Device and Accessories

The Thymatron® System IV is an electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) device manufactured by Somatics, LLC, offering a 0.9 amp constant stimulus current with adjustable pulsewidth (0.25-1.5 msec) and frequency (10-140 Hz), delivering up to 99.8 joules of energy across 220 ohms impedance for up to 8 seconds of stimulation. The system features EEG, ECG, and EMG monitoring with up to 4 channels, EEG coherence analysis, postictal suppression index reporting, peak heart rate measurement, and a 32-bit internal computer running Power Spectral Analysis, all supported by the included Genie™ IV electronic medical record software. Compatible accessories include Thymapad™ single-use stimulus electrodes, Ventil-A™ disposable mouth protectors, single-use EEG/ECG/EMG recording electrodes, a remote treat handle, and the ECTOBRAIN™II device verification tool.
