R-VISOR
The R-VISOR is a specific CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear) reconnaissance robot developed by Chemring Sensors. This unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) is equipped with a suite of advanced detectors to identify chemical warfare agents, toxic industrial chemicals, radioactive materials, and biological threats. Operated remotely via a rugged control unit, it can be sent into contaminated areas, disaster zones, or suspicious vehicles to gather critical data without exposing personnel to danger. It represents a fusion of robotics and sensor technology for force protection and emergency response in the face of asymmetric and CBRNe threats.
-
Integrated robotic platform for standoff CBRN hazard detection and identification.
-
Carries chemical detectors, gamma/neutron radiation sensors, and biological aerosol monitors.
-
Creates a real-time contamination map for the incident commander.
-
Used for route clearance, post-attack assessment, HAZMAT incidents, and securing suspicious packages.
-
Significantly reduces risk to EOD, CBRN, and first responder personnel.
-
A proven system in use by military and specialized response units.
Send a robot into the danger zone. The R-VISOR performs critical CBRN reconnaissance to safeguard human lives.
