Katadyn Rapidyn DIY Siphon Kit

Uses a ceramic depth‑filter cartridge (≈ 0.2 µm pore size) to remove bacteria, protozoa, cysts and sediments — no chemicals required.

Designed for gravity or siphon feed—no pump or electric power needed; water flows simply from a suitably sized container via the filter and outlet hose.

High capacity rating — up to ~20,000 litres of water treated (depending on source quality) before needing replacement cleaning/element replacement.  

Field‑maintainable — The filter element is cleanable with included pad, and the system is designed for rugged, austere conditions (tactical/relief use).

Compact & lightweight — Weighs approximately 235 g dry (≈475 g wet) and dimensions roughly 23.5 × 5.5 × 8.2 cm.

Flexible container size — User selects their own food‑safe container(s) (bucket or canister, min inside diameter ~27cm) for incoming and outgoing water; buckets/storage not included.
