A400 Handheld Radiation Identifier

The H3D A400 is a next-generation handheld Radioisotope Identification Device (RIID) built on pixelated CZT (CdZnTe) semiconductor technology, offering spectroscopic performance competitive with cryogenically cooled detectors without requiring cryogenic cooling. It features over 19 cm3 of CZT crystal volume, energy resolution of ≤1.1% FWHM at 662 keV, real-time 360° isotope-specific directionality, and an energy range covering isotopes up to 3 MeV, with detection of a 10-μCi Cs-137 source at 1m in under 22 seconds. Compact and ergonomic at 1.2 kg, the A400 is ready to use in under 90 seconds, includes WiFi, Bluetooth, USB-C, and Ethernet connectivity, 32GB onboard storage, an MFK/ATAK CBRN plugin-compatible interface, and is tested to ANSI N42.34 standards with IP65 ingress protection. Designed for border security, first responders, military and defense, and environmental radiation monitoring, the A400 also offers optional neutron detection (A401) and high-resolution (A400+) configurations.
