Generator Cart

The Generator Cart features a rugged, towable steel frame measuring approximately 2,570 × 1,700 × 1,700 mm in some heavy-duty models, while lighter units offer more compact dimensions for ramp maneuverability. It mounts a diesel engine (often Cummins QSB4.5, ~155 hp) coupled with a built-in generator head delivering AC 115/200 V at 400 Hz for aircraft power needs. Designed with a galvanised trailer, torsion suspension, and fifth-wheel steering, it offers smooth towing and stability on apron surfaces.

The cart includes an oversized cable tray with rollers and a retractable towbar, simplifying cable deployment and vehicle hookup. Its electrical output is continuously regulated (e.g., 45 kVA, 400 Hz) to match aircraft systems, with auto voltage compensation and back-lit digital controls incorporated. Noise levels are controlled (< 80 dB(A)) via water-cooled engines, meeting airport sound regulations. Fuel tanks offer up to 25 hours of operation at half load before refuelling is required.

The Generator Cart finds application across commercial airports, military bases, and hangars. It powers avionics, air conditioning, and pre-flight check systems when aircraft auxiliary power units are unavailable or unsuitable. In military deployments, it supports field maintenance for transport aircraft and helicopters. On VIP ramps, the cart ensures smooth, uninterrupted power during boarding and servicing, reducing dependency on fixed infrastructure.

Supporting aviation ground power operations across civil and defense sectors, Tactical Supply Pakistan provides durable, regulation-compliant power supplying carts designed to maintain continuous power supply and support critical airport workflows under challenging conditions.

What is the recommended service interval for the diesel engine and electrical regulator?
Perform engine oil change and coolant checks every 250 operating hours, and calibrate voltage regulation systems every 500 hours or per manufacturer guidelines to ensure stable power output.
