Pelvic Sling by SAM Medical
The Pelvic Sling by SAM Medical is a force-controlled, circumferential pelvic binder designed to safely reduce and stabilize open-book pelvic ring fractures. It features the patented SAM® AUTOSTOP buckle, which halts tightening automatically when the target compressive force (~150 N/33 lb) is reached. A tactile “click” and engaged prongs confirm correct application. The sling comes as a one-piece belt secured by Velcro and fits varying hip circumferences through three size options: Small (27–45″), Standard (32–50″), and Large (36–54″). A Standard-Military version is also available in OD green/black.
This sling supports rapid, intuitive use in field conditions. Except for the stainless-steel buckle springs, it is radiolucent and remains compatible with X-rays and CT scanners.
