Best for: camping, small household, office meeting rooms, emergencies.

Specs / performance

• Capacity: 10 L reservoir (stainless/food-grade plastic).

• Filtration stages: Sediment (100 → 5 µm) → Activated carbon block (0.5–5 µm) → UF membrane (0.01–0.1 µm) optional.

• Flow: gravity ≈ 0.5–2 L/hour (depends on head & filters).

• Removes: turbidity, chlorine, odors, organic taste; UF removes bacteria/cysts but not dissolved salts.

BOM (components)

• Two-chamber stainless or food-grade polypropylene housing (top feed + lower collection) — 10 L total.

• Pre-sediment cartridge 5–20 µm (PP).

• Activated carbon block cartridge (5 µm or 0.5 µm for better taste).

• Optional UF hollow fiber module (0.01–0.2 µm) for microbiological safety.

• Silicone tubing, gaskets, O-rings (food grade).

• Tap/faucet outlet for lower chamber.

• Mounting bracket or stand.

• Optional: sediment filter wrench, pressure relief valve (if used with slight head).

Maintenance

• Sediment + carbon: replace every 3–6 months (or sooner if turbidity high).

Pros/Cons

• No electricity, simple, legal, cheap.
  – Slow flow, not suitable for desalination.
